Are you finding it difficult to decide between a technical or commercial career? Then simply go for both! This bachelor’s degree programme equips you with equal levels of technical and business expertise. The conventional division between technical and commercial disciplines has been outstripped by the demands levied by global competition – swift adaptation is what counts. This degree programme therefore combines the sciences of economics and engineering with special focus on electrical engineering or mechatronics, thus enabling you to learn how to master the challenges that arise at the interfaces.
You will learn an extremely wide range of approaches and methods for solving tasks that require special expertise in both fields. It’s your decision which area you wish to major in. From the start, we support you with tutorials, small learning groups, special programmes for students and intensive mentoring for internships and bachelor theses. We offer a preliminary maths course especially for students in the first semester of technical bachelor’s degree programmes. Preliminary maths course . In addition, you can expect practically relevant teamwork and learning, a friendly atmosphere and professors who know you by name.

During the foundation course (semesters 1 and 2), you will primarily learn the fundamental mathematical, scientific and business principles. At the end of the foundation course, you decide which technical major you wish to specialise in – electrical and information technology or mechatronics.
The subsequent advanced course (starting in the 3rd semester) focuses on key core and advanced vocational subjects. Major importance is placed on the interplay between theory and practice, as reinforced by the great range of internships offered throughout the programme.
After completing the practical semester , you can study topics such as production automation or supply chain management in greater detail and select specialisations from a broad range of elective subjects.
Language tuition in English or Spanish is also included in the curriculum to reflect the international mosaic that makes up present-day economic life.
You will complete your degree by writing your bachelor’s thesis. Upon successfully completing the programme, the university of applied sciences will award you the academic degree of Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) .
