Coronavirus: Regulations for sitting examinations

Wearing masks is obligatory across the entire university campus, both inside buildings and outdoors, as is staying at least 1.5 metres away from other people. We recommend that you wear an FFP2 mask. Even people with a certificate of exemption from wearing a mask on medical grounds are prohibited from accessing campus and taking examinations on site.

All deadlines for repeat examinations have been suspended, which means that no examination is compulsory. It is everyone’s personal choice whether to take an examination or not. Anyone who takes an examination will have their performance evaluated accordingly.

There is no need to present formal evidence of any illness or quarantine measures that might prevent you from taking an examination.

 

Progression with studies

Progression with studies

The thresholds for progression are being reduced, as for the summer semester, by 30 Credit Points for this winter semester to enable students to advance to the next part of their course.

 

Conduct before examinations

Conduct before examinations

We ask you to ensure you arrive early enough before each examination to allow adequate time for orderly admission checks, allocation of seating and disinfection of desks. Social distancing rules must be observed when entering buildings and gathering outside examination rooms.

 

Conduct during examinations

Conduct during examinations

Wearing a face mask also remains obligatory for the entire duration of the examination. Blasts of fresh will be introduced at least every 45 minutes. You should therefore anticipate lower room temperatures and thus dress accordingly. Examination scripts cannot be handed in early. They must be handed in at the end of the examination, after which everyone must leave the room in an orderly manner.

It remains obligatory to wear a mask and maintain social distancing following examinations, both inside buildings and outdoors across campus. You must leave buildings by the most direct route.
