The modular International Leadership & Change Management programme comprises the following modules:

• Business Ethics
  Extensive communications skills form the foundation for every effective managerial action and change management. This series of seminars enables you to develop a solid understanding of communication requirements in everyday working life. On this basis, you can then start to build patterns for action to overcome communication barriers, construct convincing messages and implement feedback correctly. Further topics include communicating with superiors and negotiation techniques.
• Principles of Leadership
  This course equips participants with an understanding of the basic psychological principles of contemporary leadership, teaching the essential psychological theories and concepts involved in leading, motivating and coaching employees. These concepts are then taken a the basis for reflecting upon your own leadership behaviour. Psychological tests are used to develop a professional style of leadership. From that point on, we will virtually supervise and work on continuously developing your individual leadership behaviour.
• Change Management
  Managing for sustainability: Sustainability is increasingly becoming the guiding principle for contemporary management. The climate objectives set in Paris and the resulting directives for economic activity, e.g. pricing of CO2 emissions, set the framework for future-focused business management. However, sustainability goes beyond climate protection alone to encompass all 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. This seminar series examines their significance for management and leadership with reference to current examples and the participants’ own companies.
• Leading Yourself
  This seminar series focuses on developing personal leadership and change management skills – based on the concept of emotional intelligence. Participants get the opportunity to measure their emotional intelligence and develop it using the results of personal plans for change. Self-awareness is trained in exercises and case studies to enable you to reflect upon and control your own behaviour in relation to the feelings, thought processes and actions of your staff and colleagues.
• Mindful Leadership
  This seminar series builds upon the subject matter covered during the course on Leading Yourself, applying emotional intelligence concepts to leadership and situations of change and with reference to practical case studies. We will examine the concepts involved in situational leadership and use them to structure your own leadership behaviour.
• Cross-Cultural Behaviour
  Contemporary leadership and change management take place in an international environment. It is impossible to manage effectively in this case without a profound understanding of cultural differences and how to deal with them. The aim of this seminar series is to develop the ability to perceive cultural differences and to analyse cultural behaviour patterns. This will enable you to develop and practise behaviour strategies. 

Schedule:

This certificate course consists of 190 hours of teaching, split into six blocks of seminars spread over 12 months.

Lectures are held:

Fridays, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (approx.)
Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (approx.)
Sundays, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (approx.)

The modular International Leadership & Change Management programme is a professional part-time study format.

What does this mean?

You can study for this qualification alongside your work commitments. Seminars  are held at weekends.

Application deadline:

To start in the winter semester: 15 July each year (15 May for international students)

To start in the summer semester: 15 January each year (30 November for international students)

Admission requirements:

You should meet the following admission criteria:

• A higher education degree (university, university of applied sciences, Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University)
• At least two years of post-graduate vocational experience
• Good knowledge of English

Alternative qualifications to those cited above will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
