Enrolling as a student

Once you have been offered a place at the university, what happens next?

In order to start studying when the new semester commences, you still need to take the following steps:

  1. For unrestricted degree programmes: Log into your account in the applications portal and enrol online for your degree programme no later than the date indicated in your offer of a place. This function goes live on 1 July 2021 (in the afternoon) in the applications portal . Please note the deadline stated in your offer of a place.
For degree programmes with capped numbers: If you have applied (“first semester”) for admission to a degree programme with capped numbers, please start by accepting your offer in the DoSV system, after which you can enrol online in our applications portal . Please be aware that accepting the offer in the DoSV system is not enough! You are only enrolled on the course once you have completed the enrolment process in our own online system!

  2. Print the application for enrolment and send it by post, together with any documents that might still be outstanding, by the stated deadline. After that, you will be sent a print-out for checking your details by return of post together with your personal access codes for the university’s IT services and your Campus Card.

  3. You can use your access codes to sign up to the university’s “MeinCampus” system, where you will find, amongst other things, the remittance slip for the semester fee of 92 euros, which needs paying at the latest by 1 September for the coming winter semester / 1 March for the coming summer semester.

Please note that your offer of a place will lapse if you fail to enrol before the deadline.

Once you have done all that, you’re all set up for starting to study! If you have any questions, the team in Academic Registry will be happy to help.
