Admission Requirements

The study at one of the Master courses at the UAS Kempten can take up, who proves

  • a concluded UAS or university study or
  • with a not concluded UAS or university study at the time of the application at least 180 ECTS

    Foreign certificates to prove that the formal educational prerequisites have been fulfilled require special recognition.

    All foreign certificates have to be officially recognized by

    uni-assist for the Recognition of Academic Certification:uni-assist e. V., Geneststraße 5, D-10829 Berlin , Tel. +49 (0) 30 666 44 345Fax +49 (0) 30 666 44 390

     

    Please present the original or a certified copy of your university entrance qualification acquired abroad via regular mail to uni-assist. It is not necessary to make an application with uni-assist. After assessment of your credentials you will receive a so-called “Vorprüfungsdokumentation – VPD”. Please send this VPD to the Students Office of Kempten University of Applied Sciences by 31 July of each year for winter semester entry, or by 15 January for summer semester entry.

      

    For assessment of foreign university entrance qualifications uni-assist charges a fee.

Information for applicants for admission to master courses of study

Should you intend to continue your studies in a master course of study, please applyonline; no informal application is allowed at our university.

At the end of the application process you have to print out the application for admission for the upcoming term and submit it to Kempten University of Applied Sciences together with all documents listed below by 15th January and till 15th July for winter semester at the latest (receipt at Kempten University not date of postal stamp). Delayed applications cannot be considered for the admission procedure for the respective semester.

Admission Requirements by applicants for the course“Advanced Driver Assistance Systems” see here:

For foreign applicants for admission:

    • if applicable, a language proficiency certificate for German (e.g. DSH-2 [Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang], TestDaF Level 3 or better, ZOP [Goethe-Zertifikat C2: Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung])

The following prerequisite has to be fulfilled by applicants for the course“Game Egineering and Visual Computing” for the application to be successful:

  • completed university studies of the informatics, economic informatics or the electrical engineering and information technology (with no less than 180 ECTS Credits)
  • Proofs of a special qualification in the areas of software technology, operating systems and data communication as well as data blanks

The following prerequisite has to be fulfilled by applicants for the course“Information Technology” for the application to be successful:

  • completed university studies of the informatics, economic informatics or the electrical engineering and information technology (with no less than 180 ECTS Credits)
  • Proofs of a special qualification in the areas of software technology, operating systems and data communication as well as data blanks

    • if applicable, a language proficiency certificate for German (e.g. DSH-2 [Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang], TestDaF Level 3 or better, ZOP [Goethe-Zertifikat C2: Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung])

 The following prerequisite has to be fulfilled by applicants for the course“Electrical Engineering” for the application to be successful:

  • completed university studies of Electrical and / or Information Engineering
  • Sufficient knowledge of English required for the lectures given and examinations held in English (e.g. a paper-based TOEFL test with at least 525 points or a mark of at least 2.5 obtained in English as a compulsory subject attended during the previous course of studies); for all graduates of an English-speaking course of study this prerequisite is deemed to have been fulfilled.

For foreign applicants for admission:

    • if applicable, a language proficiency certificate for German (e.g. DSH-2 [Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang], TestDaF Level 4 or better, ZOP [Goethe-Zertifikat C2: Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung])

Admission Requirements by applicants for the course“Leadership in Social and Health Services Management” see here:

The following prerequisite has to be fulfilled by applicants for the course“Global Business Development” for the application to be successful:

  • External applicants submit please an officially accredited copy of the university access authorisation
  • Completed university studies of economics with at least 210 ECTS points (final mark min. 2.5 "well")
  • External applicants please present, in addition, a confirmation of your UAS or university from which a sep. calculated mark cut arises (based on a minimum of 180 ECTS)
  • Graduates with an 180 ECTS-Bachelor course (without practise semestre) need to begin with a proof about a coherent practical activity in to the study close occupational field with minimum of 20 weeks)
  • The result of the Bachelor's or Diploma's work as well as the proof about the passed Bachelor or Dipoma degree are to be presented up to the end of the first semester
  • For foreign applicants for admission:

    • if applicable, a language proficiency certificate for German (e.g. acknowledged B2-certificate like DSH-2 [Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang], TestDaF Level 3 or better, ZOP [Goethe-Zertifikat C2: Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung])

The following prerequisite has to be fulfilled by applicants for the course “Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership” for the application to be successful:

  • External applicants submit please an officially accredited copy of the university access authorisation (e. g. Bachelor or Diploma degree in Tourism-Management or comparable studies)
  • Completed university studies of economics with at least 210 ECTS points (final mark min. 2.5 "well")
  • External applicants please present, in addition, a confirmation of your UAS or university from which a sep. calculated mark cut arises (based on a minimum of 180 ECTS)
  • Graduates with an 180 ECTS-Bachelor course (without practise semestre) need to begin with a proof about a coherent practical activity in to the study close occupational field with minimum of 20 weeks)
  • The result of the Bachelor's or Diploma's work as well as the proof about the passed Bachelor or Dipoma degree are to be presented up to the end of the first semester
