A bachelor’s degree programme usually comprises seven semesters. It consists of six semesters of studying theory plus one practical semester. The structure of a semester depends on whether you are studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
On a bachelor’s programme, you generally start by studying the foundation course. The first two semesters cover basic economic, legal, social or analytical topics – depending on which degree programme you choose.
From semester three on, you study modules on the advanced course, focusing more intensively on your major subjects, working on practical projects and preparing for your practical semester . Your fifth semester is generally spent in a company or institution that is thematically related to your degree programme, giving you valuable insights into everyday working life and allowing you to apply your knowledge in a targeted manner.
On our master’s degree programmes, which last three or four semesters depending on the subject, the focus is on intensifying your scientific knowledge and skillstogether with international perspectives and/or leadership skills.
