Details about this course

This degree programme takes seven semesters in total, including the practical, and is divided into a foundation and an advanced course.

The foundation course  (semesters 1–3) furnishes you with an intensive insight into the core subjects of business administration. The examinations for this part of the programme are designed to train you in the correct learning methods and lay the foundation for studying towards your degree.

During the advanced course (semesters 4–7), you will focus on the specialist modules and majors that you have chosen to steer you in the direction of your career aspirations. You will spend three theory-based and one practical semester studying the core and advanced subject matter. You will work on many case studies and projects during your studies that combine academic theory with practical applications.

During the practical semester, you will spend 20 weeks applying the theoretical knowledge you have learned to that point in a company of your choice, either in Germany or abroad, and gaining intensive insights into the kinds of tasks you will be performing later in your career. If you have already spent more than 12 months in a relevant professional role, you can be exempted from this practical semester, thus shortening the length of your studies.

  1. Studies with in-depth practice practical and flexible!
    In the study programme with in-depth practice, a regular Bachelor's programme at the university is combined with intensive practical phases at a practice partner, based on the study content. Students can enter this study option up to the 4th semester.
  2. Combined studies a practical combination of study and work!
    With a combined study programme, you can acquire a fully recognised vocational qualification within your Bachelor's degree. This double qualification is particularly attractive for many companies!
