This master's degree programme formally trains you to recognise transformation processes taking place in the economy, society, politics and the environment, and to solve the increasingly visible problems and challenges with the aid of the interdisciplinary skills in tourism. The option to select two out of three compulsory elective areas in semesters 2 and 3 allows for individual specialisation.
The online teaching on the digital master’s programme is conducted on the ILIAS learning platform. Face-to-face teaching takes the form of winter/summer schools, excursions, boot camps and block seminars, for example.
Thanks to its interdisciplinary character, this master’s programme offers you excellent employment prospects in performing a broad field of activities in areas and industries implementing transformation, e.g. (1) destination management, (2) consulting, (3) joint development work, (4) sustainability management, (5) regional/structural policy in public administration or associations, or (6) in any area of the private sector or public administration requiring transformation skills.
The professional profile is further strengthened through practical projects and the professional internship, meaning that occupational fields can already be covered during the degree programme.
