Transfer at Kempten University of Applied Sciences

The University of Applied Sciences Kempten regards itself as a cutting-edge and sustainably oriented institution that provides service, education and transfer. In line with its mission statement “Networked Diversity”, the university promotes application-focused research coordinated across faculties and in interdisciplinary collaborations under the auspices of Forschungszentrum Allgäu (FZA) – Allgäu Research Centre.

As the university for the Allgäu, Kempten University of Applied Sciences transfers knowledge and technology intensively throughout the region in the form of numerous publicly funded and privately financed research and development projects, conducted primarily in collaboration with local small and medium-sized businesses. Interdisciplinary cooperation, both internally and externally, creates a network of experts that makes innovative and sustainable contributions to solving important challenges in society. A transfer office has been established to ensure that the findings of this research are communicated appropriately and channelled in the right direction to the outside world. The ultimate aim is to expand business collaborations and increase third-party funding.
