Developing a geragogical education concept for anyone wishing to work on their personal development in (learning) media and digital know-how coupled with health and ageing skills – enhancing participants’ experience with the internet, smartphones, laptops / PCs.
This should take place in three dimensions I³ – individual-innovative-intergenerational.
Learning process coaches support and accompany people personally and empathetically accessing digital media. You can obtain a certificate that can be useful for you both personally and professionally. The training focuses closely on how older people can use digital technology towards coping with everyday life. Digital communications and applications offer enormous support in everyday life, for example in direct contact with friends, children or grandchildren via messaging services and/or video telephony. Accessing digital services provided by public authorities, pharmacies, doctors, health applications or public transport can also be extremely valuable. The opportunity to experience the world digitally from home, confidently and safely, and to use virtual museums, video portals, podcasts or blogs facilitates participation in life and self-education into old age.
The method of design-based research is used to develop teaching and learning arrangements that are intended to support flourishing intergenerational educational communities in which people can prepare for lifelong learning in a Techno-Anthropocene in order to participate together in an age-appropriate and evolutionary way.
