The foundation course (semesters 1–3) furnishes you with an intensive insight into the core subjects of business administration. The examinations for this part of the programme are designed to train you in the correct learning methods and lay the foundation for studying towards your degree.
During the advanced course (semesters 4–7), you will focus on the specialist modules and international aspects that steer you in the direction of your career aspirations. You get to choose from the following options:
You will spend three theory-based and one practical semester studying the core and advanced subject matter. You will work on many case studies and projects during your studies that combine academic theory with practical applications.
Possible each semester: Major abroad in “International Business Studies”.
During the practical semester (5 or 6), you can spend 20 weeks applying the theoretical knowledge you have learned to that point in a company of your choice, either in Germany or abroad, and gaining intensive insights into the kinds of tasks you will be performing later in your career. If you have already spent more than 12 months at work, you can be exempted from this practical semester, thus shortening the length of your studies.
You will complete your degree by writing your bachelor’s thesis. Upon successfully completing the programme, the university of applied sciences will award you the academic degree of Bachelor of Arts (BA) .
