Regular attendance is very important in language classes.
If you are interested in taking German as a Foreign Language, please first check the class times in MeinCampus to make sure they won’t clash with your other modules. It only makes sense to take part if you can attend ALL the sessions.
Right at the start of the semester, during the first enrolment round. The exact date is posted under Enrolling for General Elective modules + Timing (When does enrolment take place?):
In MeinCampus. To sign up, you need to complete the enrolment process for modules offered by the Centre for General Elective Studies and Languages. You must do so during the first enrolment round because German as a Foreign Language modules don’t go into the second round. You can find further information here:
https://www.hs-kempten.de/en/centre-for-general-elective-studies-and-languages/general-elective-studies/general-elective-modules
The International Office can also help with signing up for modules during its orientation weeks programme for international students. Please get in touch with them if you need any assistance.
Approx. 1-2 days after the first enrolment round closes, you will be able to see in MeinCampus whether you have been allocated a place for the module that you signed up for. There is no confirmation email.
We will set up the Moodle course room for your module the day before lessons begin. When you log in to Moodle, you’ll find the room in your list of courses.
IMPORTANT: We can only add you to the class list for the Moodle course if you have already logged into Moodle at least once beforehand. If you haven’t used Moodle at Kempten University of Applied Sciences before, please log in to your student account via the university website [Quicklinks| Moodle (eLearning)] BEFORE the first enrolment round closes. That’s all.
If you’ve been admitted to the class, simply turn up on time to the first lesson. If there’s a course textbook, it’s a good idea to get hold of a copy before you start – details are provided in the course outline in MeinCampus.
