Our trainings for schools

The Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Cultural Affairs actively attributes a key role to libraries as a place of learning and work as part of the W-seminar series. We therefore offer introductory sessions on how to use an academic library, which usually last around 90 minutes. If you would like to register or have any questions, please contact us at schulung@hs-kempten.de.

We can tailor the event

  • to match the seminar’s topic,
  • as well as explaining how the library is set up and used, how to search online catalogues, about inter-library loans and the relevant databases.
  • The focus is on practical advice and encouraging school pupils to have a go themselves,
  • and we can schedule the session to fit in with class times.

Staff are also more than happy to offer introduction sessions and guided tours to anyone local who’s interested in the university library (school classes, seminar groups, etc.) Simply send us an email to enquire at schulung@hs-kempten.de.
