University Catalogue

Whenever you use our online resources (our library catalogue, our scientific databases, or electronic periodicals), you are obliged to comply with the conditions of our licence:

• You can use these online resources on the PCs located in the library or provided elsewhere at Kempten University of Applied Sciences.
• University members can generally also access them off-site.
• Excerpts of full text or other contents of the databases may only be printed or saved for personal and non-commercial purposes (academic or scientific work, research or teaching).
• None of this material may be passed on to third parties, either in electronic or printed form.
• It is forbidden to systematically download these electronic resources or search results, particularly using robots.

Any actions that contravene licences will be pursued by the publishers and the university and can lead to revocation of the user’s entire university campus licence!

Library catalogue for university members

If you are a student or member of staff at Kempten University of Applied Sciences, please use the link for university members to access electronic media (eBooks, eJournals, electronic databases).

If you wish to access the catalogue outside the campus network, you will first need to log on using your Campus ID (not your library user number).

If you wish to renew or reserve books, order inter-library loans, or manage your library account, you will need to log in to the catalogue using your library user number and password.
Your library user number can be found on the reverse of your CampusCard.
If you haven’t reset your library password, the default setting is your date of birth in the format DDMMYY (e.g. 2 August 1997 = default password 020897).

If you are new to Kempten University of Applied Sciences, you will need to activate your library account before you can access our services. You will not be able access the catalogue before activating your account.

Library catalogue for guest users

If you are not a student or staff member at Kempten University of Applied Sciences, please use the link for guest users to search the stock held in our library.
If you wish to renew or reserve books, order inter-library loans, or manage your library account, you will need to log in to the catalogue using your library user number and password.
Your library user number is printed on your library card.
If you haven’t reset your library password, the default setting is your date of birth in the format DDMMYY (e.g. 2 August 1997 = default password 020897).

The University Library Catalogue lists the stock held in Kempten University Library and other scientific literature.

You can search this catalogue both inside the library and off-site (via the internet).

The online catalogue has three sections, which can be searched separately or simultaneously:

• Catalogue: Kempten University Library stock (mainly printed and electronic books)
• Articles & more: Integrated database of articles – with or without access to full text. In cases without full-text access, please see our Information about inter-library loans.
• Verbundkatalog: Stock held in other academic libraries throughout Bavaria, Berlin and Brandenburg. Please see our Information about inter-library loans.
