The perfect counterbalance to everyday studies

Just close your books and put the stress of studying to one side. We warmly invite you to take advantage of the sports programme at Kempten University of Applied Sciences as a counterbalance to your studies. It’s also a great way of getting to know many other friendly students around you.

Explore the current sports programme to find your favourite sport in our range of sports options. Our instructors look forward to you coming along to join in.

For the latest updates to the sports programme, always check here – including any changes after the start of the semester. This page is also generally more up-to-date than printed notices around the university.

Please note: The sports programme is linked to teaching periods, i.e. there are generally no sports events during the semester breaks. Unfortunately, the UniGym (M001) can’t be used by individuals outside of the published opening times. If you have any questions about our sports programme, please contact our sports representatives (in confidence).

Eligibility for university sports

You must be a member of Kempten University of Applied Sciences in order to participate in university sports, i.e. an enrolled student, employee or professor. Non-members, including alumni, cannot be admitted.

Sports card

You need a sports card to participate in university sports, which you must bring along to every event. Sports cards are issued in the Payments Office (room V102) for a one-off fee of 5 euros. Please bring your current CampusCard and a photo to imprint on your sports card.

Semester fee

Semester fees apply to take part in university sports. When your sports card is issued, the fee is € 12.50 for the first semester and then € 7.50 euros for each subsequent semester. The semester fee is payable in the Payments Office (room V102) and entitles you to take part in all the activities offered in the university sports programme . Please do not forget to bring your current CampusCard.

Additional fees may apply for special events and courses.

Safety and cleanliness in the sports room

  • For fire safety reasons, a limit of 30 persons applies to the sports room M001. We ask all participants for their understanding if the sports instructors are perhaps unable to admit any more students.
  • The escape and rescue routes (floor markings) must be kept clear at all times. Escape routes are the entrance door to the sports room and the exit above the window on the east side (by the fitness centre).
  • The sports room is equipped with a first-aid kit and emergency telephone; these are located in the entrance area.
  • Sports exercises may only be carried out if at least one other person is in the room.
  • The consumption of food and alcoholic beverages in the sports room is generally prohibited. To avoid risk of slipping, drinking is only permitted at the table in the entrance area.
  • The sports room must be kept clean and treated with care. Therefore, please enter with clean gym or sports shoes.
  • All mats, equipment, etc. used for exercises must be cleaned up afterwards. To avoid injuries, the equipment in the “ring” (e.g. punching bags, THX bands, steppers) must also be taken down and cleaned up at the end of the exercise.
  • Any defects on the equipment that is present are to be reported to the sports officer immediately.

We ask you to comply with these rules and to support us in ensuring safety and cleanliness in university sports.

By students for students

The sports courses are usually led by fellow students. We would therefore be pleased if you would also be interested in assisting with our programme. If your sport isn’t included in the current programme, but you are very experienced or even a trainer in it, you could possibly expand the range that we offer. Feel free to talk to a sports officer about this.
