As an Erasmus+ university, Kempten University of Applied Sciences contributes to the European “lifelong learning” education programme particularly by promoting the mobility of students, lecturers and staff throughout Europe. More than 70 over our collaborations operate under the auspices of the Erasmus+ programme. A high proportion of students spend time abroad studying at one of our European partners or undertaking an internship in Europe.

Call 2023 - Project with Albania in the Tourism Faculty
Support and promotion of the tourism industry in the mediterranean region around the city of Vlora. Short-term exchange of students and teaching staff from Albania to Germany and vice-versa in the frame of common hybrid study modules in conjunction with Ismail Qemali University of Vlore
Call 2024 - A project with universities in Kenia and the Kosovo
Call 2025 - Project with universities in Western Balkan states, and with universities in Rwanda and Burundi in sub-Sahara Africa

Kempten University of Applied Sciences is a member of the International Lake Constance University of Applied Sciences (Internationale Bodenseehochschule – IBH), an association of 30 traditional universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany, Liechtenstein, Austria and Switzerland. Our membership constitutes a sustainable effort to support cross-border collaborative research and development with local companies, offers new study programmes, and improves the range of training and professional development opportunities offered throughout the region.

Kempten University of Applied Sciences is a partner in the Bavaria-Malaysia Programme, Based on academic collaboration between the Free State of Bavaria and the Republic of Malaysia, the programme has encouraged young Malaysians to study engineering sciences at Bavarian universities since its inception in 2003. After completing induction in technical aspects and language, Malaysian students are enrolled in the faculties of electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, where they complete the full bachelor’s degree programme.
The Deggendorf Institute of Technology acts as the central coordinator for the Bavaria-Malaysia programme, with further information available on the TH Deggendorf website .
