Erasmus+ university

As an Erasmus+ university, Kempten University of Applied Sciences contributes to the European “lifelong learning” education programme particularly by promoting the mobility of students, lecturers and staff throughout Europe. More than 70 over our collaborations operate under the auspices of the Erasmus+ programme. A high proportion of students spend time abroad studying at one of our European partners or undertaking an internship in Europe.

GATE-Germany

To actively and effectively position itself amongst the array of international universities, Kempten University of Applied Sciences is a member of GATE-Germany, the largest and most experienced service provider for the international marketing of universities.

International Lake Constance University of Applied Sciences (IBH)

Kempten University of Applied Sciences is a member of the International Lake Constance University of Applied Sciences (Internationale Bodenseehochschule – IBH), an association of 30 traditional universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany, Liechtenstein, Austria and Switzerland. Our membership constitutes a sustainable effort to support cross-border collaborative research and development with local companies, offers new study programmes, and improves the range of training and professional development opportunities offered throughout the region.

Malaysia-Bavaria Programme

Kempten University of Applied Sciences is a partner in the Bavaria-Malaysia Programme, Based on academic collaboration between the Free State of Bavaria and the Republic of Malaysia, the programme has encouraged young Malaysians to study engineering sciences at Bavarian universities since its inception in 2003. After completing induction in technical aspects and language, Malaysian students are enrolled in the faculties of electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, where they complete the full bachelor’s degree programme.

The Deggendorf Institute of Technology acts as the central coordinator for the Bavaria-Malaysia programme, with further information available on the TH Deggendorf website .

Kempten University of Applied Sciences is a member of the “Research in Germany – Country of Ideas“ network.

International research

International research at Kempten University of Applied Sciences is centrally coordinated by the Institute for Internationalisation (ifi) and the Allgäu Research Centre (FZA). Erasmus e-Quality Label

In June 2009, the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst – DAAD) awarded Kempten University of Applied Sciences the European Quality Label for “E-Quality” for its excellent implementation of mobility measures under the Erasmus programme.
