Criteria for studying abroad on the part of Kempten University of Applied Sciences

Bachelor’s degree programmes

The basic requirement for studying abroad is that you must have already completed one year of study by that point.

Depending on your degree programme, various formal examination regulations and language requirements might also be stipulated by Kempten University of Applied Sciences for spending a semester abroad. Please check for yourself whether there are any specific criteria for studying abroad on your degree programme by consulting the relevant Programme and Examination Regulations (“SPO”). If you have any further questions, please enquire within your faculty.

Please contact Academic Registry regarding questions about repeat examinations or extensions to deadlines, and also heed the advice on “Recognition of exam performances” posted on our website. If you have a third attempt outstanding, we recommend that you definitely discuss the matter with Academic Registry.

You can already apply to study abroad for a semester before meeting the formal requirements, as long as you are likely to do so by the end of the current examination period or before setting off.

Master’s degree programmes

There are no specific restrictions to when you can study abroad. However, we recommend discussing the optimum timing with your degree programme coordinator, particularly if you wish to spend the first semester of your master’s programme abroad.
