to the Computing Centre at Kempten University of Applied Sciences

The Computing Centre is a central facility that provides a wide range of services. However, it is not the only one at the university, as some services are provided centrally by administrative IT and others provided or administered by the faculties themselves for their own staff and students.

The Computing Centre is in charge of the following provisions:

  • Networking all the university’s IT facilities
  • User support and advice
  • IT rooms in Building V
  • A range of software & services
  • WiFi connections on campus
  • Provision of central server facilities

Detailed instructions for setting up eduroam, WiFi, VPN, email, software, etc. are provided below each service.

Assistants

The IT rooms run by the Computing Centre are staff by assistants during lecturing periods. If you would be interested in this role, please download the form (from the downloads section) and return your completed application to us either by email or handing it to a member of the Computing Centre staff. Make sure you indicate the hours you are able to work (Mon - Thur: 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., Fri: 12 noon to 7:30 p.m.) Applications will reopen for Winter Semester 2020/21.
 

Usage regulations

Lecturing periods:

  • Monday – Friday
    8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Lecture-free periods:

  • Monday – Thursday
    8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday
    8 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
