    Admission requirements

The same admission criteria apply to you as those for applicants wishing to start in the first semester. You can find details of these under admission criteria for bachelor’s degree programmes.

It is not the number of semesters of theory that you have already studied that chiefly determines the semester that are you placed in, but rather your actual academic achievements so far. We require the following evidence of this from you:

    • List of all examination performances so far (Applying for recognition of exam performances)
    • Certified copies of proof of all grades (including fails)
    • Evidence of the content and scope (citing hours per week each semester) of all completed subjects (e.g. excerpts from programme guides, programme regulations, module descriptions)

You can upload these documents during the application process via MeinCampus. The Examinations Committee of the faculty in question decides which examination achievements can be counted.

    Applications

Applications for entry to higher semesters are submitted directly to us online via MeinCampus, irrespective of whether the degree programme is unrestricted or has capped numbers.

You can find information on how to apply and which documents are required here.

    Applying for unrestricted degree programmes

Follow the steps in the general instructions.

Applying for degree programmes with capped numbers

To apply for a higher semester on a degree programme with capped numbers, there is no need to register with hochschulstart.de . The entire application process runs via our MeinCampus system. Please take the same steps as for unrestricted degree programmes.

    Admissions

A decision will be made on admission and the appropriate semester after you have submitted all the documents (incl. grades and subject matter studied).

    Enrolling as a student

Once you have been offered a place, you can go on to enrol as a student. You can find all the information right here.
