Important Information for applicants who are currently waiting or applying for a visa at a german embassy:
If you do not receive your visa in time before the start of your studies, please do not enroll. Please inform us of any problems with your visa application by email and you will receive confirmation from us that your study place will still be available for you in a year's time. Upload this confirmation with your next application and you will receive your desired study place at our university.
Have you already enrolled, are waiting for your visa, are not allowed to leave the country and are therefore unable to attend regular lectures?
Then exmatriculate online. You will receive additional confirmation from us for the embassy that your study place is reserved for you and that there is nothing to prevent you from re-enrolling at a later date.
Then we recommend the following uncomplicated/convenient approach - you do not need to reapply.:
1. you inform us by e-mail to studienamt@.... that we should enrol you again for the next possible semester start.
2. send us the "Deferment of the start of studies" documents already sent to us as part of the de-registration process.
3. we will then enrol you again in the first semester of your desired degree program.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to seeing you and wish you a good and successful re-entry.
