Conditions for taking part

The director of your school grants you time off from school lessons to attend classes at the university. The school is responsible for deciding how much time you can take off from lessons taught at school. School pupils undertaking premature studies will not be enrolled as students.

You attend university classes as regularly as you would lessons taught at school. If you are unwell, you report this to your school and attest to this in writing, as usual.

You work on your own to catch up on any teaching at school that you might have missed and meet all the performance requirements of your school, irrespective of your premature studies. You make detailed arrangements with your school.

Neither the school nor Kempten University of Applied Sciences are responsible for any deterioration in your performance at school with regard to your grades, and in particular the final grade for your school leaving certificate. If any negative effects become apparent, then your premature studies can be terminated by either you or the responsible authorities for overseeing schools, at the university or at the school.

Enrolment

Enrolment

You need to write an application letter to Academic Registry to enrol for premature studies, enclosing all the relevant documents. You are solely responsible for organising how you manage your premature studies.

You are obliged to inform your school and Kempten University of Applied Sciences if you cease studying before lectures have been completed for the semester in question.

Admission to premature studies is granted for one semester in the first instance. If you wish to continue your premature studies the following semester, you must contact us in good time before the next semester commences. You will be re-enrolled if your school agrees.
