Securing skilled workers is crucial to keeping companies competitive long-term. The Allgäu Skilled Workers Network is ploughing a great deal of effort in this direction for the region, pooling advisory services and points of contact for employees over the age of 50, returners to work/single parents, skilled workers from other countries and ex-students. The lead partners alongside Allgäu GmbH are the Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit), the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Swabian Chamber of Trades, Kempten University of Applied Sciences, and the organisation “Frau und Beruf” (“Women and Career”).
