I've been a research assistant at the Institute for Machine Vision (IMS) at Kempten University of Applied Sciences since 2023.
After completing a commercial apprenticeship, a bachelor's degree in mechatronics and a master's degree in automation technology and robotics, I worked intensively on a novel optical measurement system for my master's thesis and the subsequent work. Since then, I have been researching optical metrology and automated defect detection, especially in the field of aluminium sand casting. Both classical and AI approaches are investigated at the IMS.
