Add-on bachelor’s / master’s qualification

  1. Kempten University of Applied Sciences
  2. International
  3. Outgoing
  4. Studying abroad
  5. Dual degrees / additional qualifications

Add-on “Bachelor (Honours)”

Several of our partner universities in the United Kingdom and Ireland offer students the opportunity to go straight into the 3rd or 4th of a degree programme and earn the additional qualification of “Bachelor” or “Bachelor (Honours)” after studying for another year.

Requirements:

  • To enter the 3rd year of study > 120 ECTS Credit Points
  • To enter the 4th year of study > 180 ECTS Credit Points

This further study towards a bachelor’s (honours) title:

Doesn’t earn you a dual degree, but rather an additional level of qualification, i.e.

  • you can arrange for the examination achievements abroad to be added to those gained in Kempten (See Recognition of exam performances).
  • To complete your programme in Kempten, you must write your final thesis here, as a bachelor’s thesis completed in the United Kingdom or Ireland cannot be recognised.

You can study for this additional qualification (including outside Europe), for example, at:

  • England: Buckinghamshire New University in High Wycombe, or University of Central Lancashire in Preston
  • Scotland: Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh
  • Ireland: The Institute of Technology, Sligo
  • Australia: University of the Sunshine Coast in Sippy Downs and International College of Management in Manly.

In principle, it is also possible to study towards an additional qualification at a university that is not partnered with Kempten University of Applied Sciences. Please check the foreign universities’ own websites for information.

You can find further details (e.g. rate of tuition fees) about our partner universities on the relevant info sheets, via the search engine.
