More about the IDF (Institute for Data-Optimised Manufacturing)

The Institute

As a technology transfer centre , the IDF advises partners in society and industry on the potential for applying artificial intelligence and mathematical optimisation methods – focusing particularly on ecological and economic aspects of optimising manufacturing processes.

On behalf of the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs, the IDF (together with the IKR) acts as the Allgäu’s Regional AI Centre , with the aim of assisting local companies with digitalisation and AI.

The IDF leads numerous research collaborations with prestigious partners such as DMG MORI, GROB Werke, Robert Bosch GmbH and also many medium-sized companies throughout the region.
