Competence driven by networked diversity
Kempten University of Applied Sciences works towards making a sustainable contribution to conquering current and future social challenges.
In the face of our increasingly heterogeneous target groups and the growing complexities involved in teaching, research and professional development, we rely the diversity of our expertise – focused in the faculties of Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Social and Health Studies and Tourism Management, and spread throughout our central administration and facilities. We pursue targeted, interdisciplinary networking to create future-oriented solutions that are relevant to society.
We developed our vision together at Kempten University of Applied Sciences in the course of a university-wide participatory process. It describes how we perceive ourselves, our daily actions and our long-term perspective. It is divided into three central elements:
Our motivation
Together, we are fervently shaping the future in and with our university of applied sciences.
We are developing an attractive place to learn, work and live.
We contribute to the continuous development of society.
We espouse liberal and democratic values.
Our core understanding
We work together in a spirit of trust and appreciation.
We work as a TEAM.
The committees at our university of applied sciences work transparently and participatively.
Teachers, researchers and academic support staff assist one another so that together we can achieve the university’s goals.
The university of applied sciences is an attractive employer that recognises the needs of its staff and embraces the contemporary working environment.
Our aspirations
We develop personalities who contribute to and assume responsibility in a democratic society.
We create a cosmopolitan environment with a high-quality ambience, in which we espouse and teach diversity, equal opportunities, participation and internationality.
We master challenges in business and society by forging skills and creating knowledge via networked, practically relevant teaching and research.
