Ways that we can collaborate

Direct commissioning

The IDF has long-standing working partnerships with prestigious companies in the region. Research and development contracts can be awarded directly to the institute. Our interdisciplinary team of highly trained and experienced data scientists, computer scientists, mathematicians and mechanical engineering specialists is available for this purpose.

Funded research projects

Alternatively, we can apply for publicly funded consortium projects in cases where a match is identified with a call for proposals. This scenario would involve one or more companies working together with the IDF on a joint research project, typically lasting 2-3 years.

The costs incurred by the institute are usually covered in full by the funding body, with the business partners’ costs borne on a pro rata basis (typically between 40% and 80%).

“In research networks, we are able to harness synergies between companies to tackle problems holistically.”
