Our vision for teaching – join in and contribute!

We are currently working on a vision for teaching at our university of applied sciences. The intention is to highlight the shared values, aims and ideals for good teaching and offer guidance for all. If you are interested in contributing your own ideas, experiences and suggestions to the process, please do! Everyone’s input is welcome and will go towards creating a vision for all.

Vision for teaching

Why have a vision for teaching?

A vision will encapsulate the fundamental values and aims that influence our teaching. It will provide guidance for teachers, students and staff, and create a common notion of what constitutes good teaching. The vision will strengthen the quality of the teaching that we offer and form the basis for continuous further development.

How does the process work?

The process for developing the vision is based on participation. Any students, teachers or others involved in the process of teaching and learning at our university are invited to contribute their ideas and thoughts to the creative process. Step-by-step, a vision will emerge that reflects our university’s diversity.

How to get involved

Would you like to incorporate your experiences, ideas and wishes into the vision for teaching? It’s very straightforward – either write your thoughts on the online form and/or hand in a creative jotter. Your input will not only help shape our vision for teaching, but a sample will go on display at the Day of Teaching 2026.

1. Written ideas

You can use the form to write down your thoughts about good teaching and simply upload it as it is. It will only take you a few minutes – you can either express yourself entirely freehand, or use our pointers to structure your thoughts. Let us know what you feel is important and worth considering.

2. Sketch your ideas

Jotting down your ideas is a way of creatively highlighting what you consider to be good teaching at our university – this might include a picture, mindmap, collage of photos, etc. You can use our template to sketch your ideas and then either hand the form in to the post room, addressed to the ZHK , or upload a scan online. You can find further info in our leaflet.

We sincerely appreciate your interest and input!
If you have any questions or suggestions, please get in touch – any time!
