to spend a semester abroad at a host university without a partner agreement with Kempten University of Applied Sciences.

which involves two stages.
First, you apply to the International Office for us to check whether you meet the criteria for studying abroad for a semester and to allocate you a place as you wish. After that, you can enrol or apply for a place at the host university.

Stage 1:

Apply to the International Office for permission to study abroad for a semester

  1. Log in to the Mobility Online applications portal using your university ID 
  2. Under “exchange programme”, please choose “Global agreement for free movement of students”
  3. Fill out the application form
  4. Open the registration link sent to you via email.

You can then simply follow the online instructions as you go along. 

    What happens next?

    After checking your eligibility, we will inform you of the result (eligible / not eligible).

     
    Application deadlines for free movers
    15 December – 30 Juneto go abroad for the winter semester
    1 July – 14 Decemberto go abroad for the summer semester

     

    Stage 2:

    Apply independently to attend the host university as a free mover

    At this point, you will need to complete the application formalities for the host university
    You might be able to apply via third-party organisations for allocating university places

    Once you are accepted by the host university, they will send you a letter of confirmation/enrolment.

     

    And then? 

    • To carry on preparing your semester abroad, please work your way through the workflow in our Mobility Online portal .
    • This dialogue system displays all the completed steps in green boxes, with the to-do list marked in red. If you cannot proceed past a certain point in the workflow, this means that you need to wait for a response from the International Office, which will either be marked in the portal itself or sent to you via email. As soon as the relevant box turns green, you can continue. You need to complete every data entry by clicking on the button to confirm.
