The projects consistently reflect the TTZ’s three focus areas. The range of funding agencies and industry partners extends from regional SMEs and large corporations to national and European funding programs. This demonstrates both the thematic relevance of the TTZ’s work and its established research expertise, as evidenced by third-party funding. Many of these projects should not be viewed in isolation; rather, they have emerged from existing collaborations and, in turn, form the basis for follow-up projects, spin-offs, and in-depth research initiatives.
In addition to being structured thematically into three focus areas and transfer activities, research activities are divided into publicly funded consortium projects and contract research. In contract research, the IDF is commissioned directly by the company; due to confidentiality obligations, these projects are not publicly reported.
