What happens next on my behalf?

1. We inspect your application

We will check whether your application contains everything that is required and that you meet the admission criteria for your chosen degree programme.

If any documents are missing or anything is unclear, we will notify you in the applications portal MeinCampus or by email.

2. You might add further documents

If any evidence is still missing, please add it on time. You can find out what is required on the page about documents. Information about timings can be found under deadlines for submitting evidence later on.

3. You will receive a response

As soon as your application has been reviewed, you will receive a response. If you are admitted, you will receive formal notification and can then apply to enrol.

For bachelor’s degree programmes with unrestricted admissions, if you meet all the entry requirements and apply in full and on time, you will definitely be offered a place. For degree programmes with restricted entry (capped intake), places are allocated according to specific criteria.

Information about our capped-intake degree programmes

Social Work / Social Work majoring in Youth Work

For these degree programmes with entry restrictions, places are allocated by means of a special procedure (“Dialogorientierte Serviceverfahren” – DoSV) at hochschulstart.de. The criteria for awarding places are stipulated in Art. 5 BayHZG and our statute for the local selection process .

Accordingly, places are mainly allocated as follows:
•    College or high school certificate: 80 per cent according to the average certificate grade
•    Professional contingent**: 20 per cent according to the average high school / college certificate grade for people who have already completed relevant vocational training.

After the deadline for submitting applications, all applications are ranked according to these criteria. Starting with the applicants with the best grades, offers of places are made in descending order until the maximum number of admissions to the programme is reached. Everyone is automatically included in all contingents for which they qualify.

We can’t predict the specific grades that will qualify for a place on such a degree programme, as we cannot predict how many people will apply and what grades they will achieve. To help you gauge your chances, you can consult the grades that have applied in previous years.
