Scholarships/bursaries offered by other organisations

  2. International
  3. Incoming
  4. International degree-seeking students

International students wishing to attend university in Germany can apply for funding from various organisations.

The most important source of bursaries for international students is the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst –DAAD). The DAAD has offices in many countries, which might enable you to already seek advice about funding opportunities before you leave home.
Other important sources of additional funding for students include foundations and organisations offering bursaries and scholarships.

The criteria for eligibility vary according to the focus of the organisation, so you will need to check directly on an individual basis. This might take a lot of effort, but it can prove very worthwhile!
