Applications and admissions for international students:

The same procedures and deadlines apply to you as for German applicants for the same degree programme.

In addition to the regular application process, you will need to fulfil two more requirements:

  • Verification and validation of your certificate by uni-assist
  • Punctual submission of the necessary evidence of proficiency

 

You need to do the following three things:

Certificates need verifying by uni-assist

Applicants for bachelor’s degree programmes must submit accepted evidence for Germany of their eligibility for university (“HZB”)
Applicants for master’s degree programmes must submit accepted evidence for Germany of their bachelor’s degree

In both cases, your certificates will need to be validated by uni-assist.*

Register for the process well ahead of time at www.uni-assist.de  and select the VPD procedure. It takes about six weeks to validate certificates.

First, you need to submit an official copy of your certificate.
After processing, uni-assist will issue a so-called preliminary review documentation (“Vorprüfungsdokumentation – VPD”). Please send this within the application deadline of your desired degree program to the Academic Registry at Kempten University of Applied Sciences.

Applicants from China, Vietnam or Mongolia, please note: 
In addition to the certificate, please also submit the original APS validation certificate via uni-assist.

*Exception: If you are applying for the master’s degree programme in Electrical Engineering, you do not need to complete the uni-assist process. The Academic Registry will check your bachelor’s degree certificate itself. Further information

 

Applying to study at Kempten University of Applied Sciences

Important notes:

- Your higher education entrance qualification (HZB) or Bachelor’s certificate must first be verified by uni-assist. You will receive the so-called "preliminary review documentation - VPD" via email. Forward this email with the attachment (original document) to studienamt(at)hs-kempten.de, including your application number.

- Language certificate: If not yet available, it can be submitted at a later date – please refer to the deadline for this.

 

 

 

Proof of language proficiency

Please ensure that you have attained the level of proficiency required for your degree programme and submit evidence of this by the deadline (by 30 September for the winter semester and 14 March for the summer semester).
